The annual Ramona Air Show will feature fire-fighting planes, antique aircraft, plane rides and pancakes among other attractions this weekend at Ramona Airport.

Aviation enthusiasts and novices alike will enjoy watching S-2s, T-34’s, Pitts and RC Flyers take to the skies during the event, which takes place on both May 31 and June 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CalFire will fly its aerial attack planes and demonstrate fire-fighting from the air, pilots will fly their T-34 trainers in formation and aerobats such as Jaquie Warda and Dr. D will show their prowess. Also featured are the Red Star Pilots association demonstration and Chuck Hall and John Culver’s Flying Legends.

Activities kick off each day with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. There will be a vintage car show on Saturday and a “tricked out” big truck show Sunday. Remote controlled aircraft flown by members of the Palomar RC Flyers will soar both days from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person and military men and women in uniform and children under 12 are free. Parking is $1 each day.
